Ludlow Green Festival

The Region's premier event celebrating all things green. Stalls, information, activities, music, food & drink- something for all the family!

Tile Decorating Workshop at Jackfield Tile Museum

Join a drop-in tile decorating workshop between 10am and 3.30pm and try the tube lining technique to produce your own ceramic masterpiece; you could make a collection of coasters, a circular door plaque or a gift for a loved one on a heart shaped tile. Activities vary from day-to-day; tiles cost from £5 each and can be fired and sent home later for a small extra charge to cover postage and packing. It takes up to 1½ hours to decorate your tile so last admission to the workshops is 2pm.

Riverside walk to Trimpley Reservoir and Eymore Wood (8 miles)

Enjoy a walk along the river to Trimpley and on through Eymore Wood. Returning along the top of the valley with good views of the Shropshire countryside. Booking essential for all walks. Meet at 9.15am for a 9.30am start. Please wear walking boots and bring a packed lunch and drink

The Eckford Sweet Pea Society's 29th Annual Show 2017

Come along and visit when wem host one of the largest Sweet Pea Shows in Britain. Blooms of both Victorian and Modern varieties on Display with lots more to do in and around this Friendly Market Town. ONLY Disabled parking at Venue. Under cover with weelchair acess to all areas including refreshments.

Oswestry opens its streets to the finest local food producers – and it’s free! Enjoy two days of tasting and enjoying the finest local produce as you wander the streets of our market town. Oswestry is renowned for its café culture so you will never be far from a welcoming coffee shop if you need a cuppa after using all that energy wandering round the stalls.

Peep Behind the Scenes

Peep Behind the Scenes provides a unique insight into what goes on throughout the year to keep our Railway running – volunteer and paid staff working together. Much of the work goes unseen, such as day-to-day maintenance and the skilled restoration work, often covered with panelling and many coats of varnish and paint! An additional charge applies for admission to behind-the-scenes attractions. Attractions to be confirmed soon.
